Can a Miata go 0-60 in 5.7 seconds?

Someone said they had a 1st gen miata (1995) and they put a mazda speed cai on it, mazda speed headers (he ported them too) and he advanced the timing on it. He said all that dropped the 0-60 time to 5.7 It also had 17" wheels with low pro tires and firm suspension
