I need a pro camera that doesn't use firewire?

I want to get a semi pro camera for making short films. I really wanted to get a DVX, but unfortunately my laptop that I do all my editing on has no firewire port, so there is no way for me to transfer anything that i shoot from the camera to my laptop. I need a DVXish camera that uses something besides firewire. Like USB or flash memory or something. Also my budget is small. Around 1200 bucks. Thanks.
