Saving non-locally in minecraft?

Hi. I just started playing minecraft. I have a laptop and a desktop. I made good progress and then my brother kicked me off of the desktop. When i started playing on my laptop it was not the same account.. this must mean that I was saving locally. How can I save it to the website and then play it on my laptop??
