My Gateway Laptop(Model M-6332) does not connect to the internet. How do i fix this?

Now I have been connecting via my wifi here at home for awhile. It has suddenly stopped connecting to the internet and it now says unidentified network but it shows to be connected to the wifi. Don't know if this helps but its says access is local only. In the Network center it shows my computer connected to the "unidentified network" and from from there to the internet there is an x. Please help me with this as it has been very frustrating. Thanks
