Can I get in trouble for doing this?

I bought a brand new Samsung Bluray player from Walmart last week. Well no longer reads Blu-rays, but only reads DVDs. I lost the receipt and they wouldn't take it back. So I went to electronics and bought the same model again. I then went back to Walmart the next day and returned the broken unit using the receipt from the new one. I still had the original box to the broken one too so the serial numbers, etc should match up. Will they notice this, or will I be fine?
