Hooked up my pc to my home cinema but only get 2 speakers. can i get 5.1 surround?

using the (green) audio port from my pc to RCA (red and white) to my home cinema the sound only comes out the 2 front speakers but id like the full 5.1 surround experience. any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.
