Is there a site where you can type in a guns serial number and see if it has been reported stolen?

I know you have innocent and legitimate reasons, but the crooks would love to see if the weapon they stole has been reported. The only way to access this information is through law enforcement. A local officer can run the weapon for stolen from the comfort of his squad car. Good luck and be safe.
